Madelyn Cline just bid adieu to her signature dirty-blond hair — momentarily, at least. The "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery" actor rocked a red-orange bob while posing for Flaunt magazine's latest issue, and we're majorly digging the edgy transformation. Celebrity hairdresser Ted Gibson is the mastermind behind Cline's cover look, which is a wig he styled with wavy texture and a center part. It extended just past her jawline, making it the shortest hairstyle we've seen her with to date, even if it was temporary.
Though Cline is a natural brunette, she's cycled through varying shades of sun-kissed blond since joining the cast Netflix's "Outer Banks." Last year, she shared details about dying her hair for the first time to get into character as Sarah Cameron, and it wound up being quite the journey. "I had never touched my hair. I was just too afraid to, and I just didn't want to pay the money to do anything to it," she told Women's Health. After visiting the salon and leaving with what looked like "streaks of peanut butter" in her hair, she took matters into her own hands and used Sun-In to achieve the desired color. The drugstore product worked like a charm, and she's been a blond ever since.
Cline has been serving up all the beauty inspiration while promoting the "Knives Out" sequel, in which she wears soft, beachy waves and extensions to portray a character named Whiskey. For her "Tonight Show" appearance last month, the 24-year-old star wore a tousled Pamela Anderson-inspired updo, and she took the flipped-under-ends trend for a spin at the film's European premiere in London in October.
